La 75e édition des Emmy Awards ne se tiendra pas le 18 septembre prochain. Si l’on en croit les bonnes sources de Variety, les différentes personnes impliquées dans la cérémonie ont été informées il y a peu que la date a été repoussée suite aux mouvements de grève à Hollywood. La liste des nominés avait été annoncée le 12 juillet, soit un jour seulement avant que la Screen Actors Guild (SAG) ne rejoigne le mouvement de grève.

Si le report n’a pas encore été confirmé officiellement, son annonce reste logique dans le contexte actuel, sachant que les acteurs affiliés à la SAG ne peuvent pas non plus participer à des cérémonies de récompenses ni même assister à un évènement de ce type. Les Emmy Awards n’avaient pas été retardés depuis 2001 et les attentats du 11 septembre. Variety note tout de même que la phase deux du vote (pour les trophées) devrait toujours se tenir le 17 août prochain. Il faudra bien colmater pour éviter les fuites…
Le mois de janvier serait désormais envisagé pour la cérémonie, mais en cas de poursuite de la grève, il n’est pas impossible que les prix soient remis sans aucune cérémonie… ce qui serait alors une véritable première.
